This Week in EID - Episode 63
For
regular readers of EID, you might already know about our themed days. On
Monday, we try to cover something innovative in design. Could be an innovative new product or service
or perhaps an innovation in a method like user testing. Even an innovative
management technique is fair game. This week, we talk about the trend to customer self-service. This has been around for ages as a
cost-cutting technique, but we cover a new wrinkle.
Then
mid-week we pick two out of three possible themes: design, science, or
behavior. Tuesday was a new approach to journaling that could make you more
happy over time. Can’t argue with that if it is legit, right? Then Wednesday was a strategy for navigating search results that I had never seen before, even
after 20 years of study (wow, that makes me feel old!).
And
then we end the week with “Thought-provoking Thursday” – our plot to send you
off on your weekend with something deep and insightful to think about. This week, it was the “transparency illusion.”
If you are not familiar with it, definitely check out the article. We all do it, and we all pay for it later.
Enjoy.
